I was in Australia as a member of the 81st Air Depot Group. I was originally in the 4th Air Depot group(stationed originally at Eagle Farm( which was subsequently changed to the 81st Air Depot group. The outfit was originally in Brisbane in the Valley and was in due course sent to Finchaven New Guinea and finally we were sent to Hollandia in Dutch New Guinea and then sent back home by Liberty ship in late 1945.
