I'm the author of "The Black Sheep" (1998) and "Black Sheep One: The Life of Gregory 'Pappy' Boyington" (2000), both published by Presidio Press and Random House. Presently I'm involved in a comprehensive new book on Rabaul. I've had the pleasure of interviewing John Watkins (copilot, 2nd BS) and would like to hear from other crewmen regarding Rabaul missions. Secondarily, your recollections about Port Moresby are welcome, as are comments about related targets in the SWPA such as Lae, etc. The book is fairly focused on Rabaul, however.
