My father flew Leroy's Joy in WWII. He was is the 82nd Bomb Squadron of the 12 Bomb Group which was also known as the "Earthquakers". When my father was pilot of this plane it was stationed in India. Leroy was the crew chief of the plane and it was up to him to keep the thing repaired. My fathers job to bring it back to him in good condition after each mission.
