I am looking for info on my uncle and his mission.I have the missing aircrew report and I do know that he was in the 33rd bomb squadron and the 22nd bomb group.They went down after a mission to the Matina Airdrome in S. Mindanao,P.I. on Sept 1,1944.I think they were stationed in New Guinea but am unsure.They were part of the Red Raiders but I would like to know more about the squadron,the aircraft(42-100196),the mission,and the crew.These guys were the real heroes.....My uncle, Staff sergeant(Maurice M. Possley 16055569 ,was a radio operator on the mission I think...Thanks to anyone who can help....I do have the other nine crew members names....
